Gaming consoles and streaming devices can be connected with either wired or wireless. Instructions and cables are distributed during move-in week. Students in Student Housing can access the internet via wired and wireless connections. Some locations on campus have very specific cable requirements, so only cables provided by IT Services should be used. IT Services provides cables to connect university-owned PCs to the network. Most employee offices have one or more wired network connections. While SecureW2 is encouraged, connecting manually to Wi-Fi and entering your PFW credentials will stil work and is acceptable. Purdue University Fort Wayne can now utilize a cloud-based application, SecureW2, to automate and simplify connecting devices to campus Wi-Fi. Indiana University Fort Wayne students, faculty, and staff can connect using their Purdue Fort Wayne account, or use their IU account through eduroam. Instructions for connecting to Purdue Fort Wayne wireless can be found in our Knowledge Base article. The device must be wireless capable and be configured correctly in order to gain access. All Purdue Fort Wayne students, faculty, and staff have access to the Purdue Fort Wayne wireless network.
